"This painting is a winter version or---- possibly early spring before the leaves turn green. You choose." states Tyvoll.
"It was inspired by the persimmon tree that grows right outside our back door. Every year in early autumn, when all the leaves are gone, birds of all shapes and sizes flock to the tree to eat juicy ripe persimmons still clinging to bare branches. These birds are satisfied and happy from eating persimmons until they are gone." adds Blenda.

Original Art Canvas Collage Painting Titled Minty Green Bird
Blenda's latest painting is a mixed media piece created by incorporating collage and acrylic paint. She often uses songbirds in her artwork: "I see them as a metaphor for family, love and freedom," Tyvoll says. The dominate color of green represents hope and regrowth.
